Scott Named Man of the Year

Clifton Eric Scott, Sr., son of Mrs. Lillie Mae Scott and the late Arthur L. Scott of 370 Cedar Creek Road, was recently recognized as the Man of the Year for the Eta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, Raleigh, NC Chapter. 

Scott a 1976 Graduate of Davie County High School was recognized at a gala event held at the Martin Street Baptist Church Family Life Center in Raleigh, NC.

Scott received the award for his service to the community in the areas of Service, Leadership and Educational Accomplishments in the Greater Raleigh Area on December 4, 2010.

Scott has been active in the Eta Sigma Chapter for the past 13 years, serving as Education Director, Vice-President, Sigma Beta Teen Club Advisor, Serving on Committees, Serving as a voting delegate to State, Regional and National Conferences, Chairing a National Election Campaign and most recently completing two consecutive terms as President of the Local Chapter.  He has been a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity since 1985.

Phi Beta Sigma is an International Fraternity based on three National Programs-Education, Social Action and Bigger and Better Business.  It was established in 1914 in Washington, DC on the campus of Howard University.
