Chaperones

Chaperone Guidelines
  • 1. Each chaperone will be assigned a specific duty on the day of the event:

    • Bus captain - responsible for keeping the health forms on each child and attendance on each bus
    • Assistant bus captain - help with attendance, etc.
    • Assist and supervise during uniform changing times
    • Help with water/snacks
    • Specified seats on each bus for supervision
    • Check the bus upon return - left behind items, etc.
    • Help with uniforms as needed

  • All chaperones are on duty the entire day of the event.

  • When the students go back to the bus, chaperones must accompany them whether the students are going as a group or individually. Some chaperones will be asked to stay in the stands to supervise while students are returning.

  • Chaperones need to sit with the students in the stands.

  • At the end of the night, chaperones are on duty until all the buses are emptied and they have assisted the students with getting all their items into the bandroom.

  • There will be a designated head chaperone at each event. All concerns should be addressed to the head chaperone. The head chaperone will relay any important information from Mr. Scott to the chaperones.

  • A list of duties will be distributed on the day of the event.
